There are now 3 major airlines in the US: United, American and Delta.
There are now 3 major types of credit cards in the US: Visa, MasterCard and Amex.
It appears that the major banks in the game are Chase, Citi and Amex.
Major corporate alignments and consolidations...
United-Visa-Chase
American-MasterCard-Citi
Delta-Amex-um, Amex
Tri-opolies?
For the other players - Alaska Airlines, Southwest, Bank of America, Barclays, Discover, etc...it's gotta feel a bit uncomfortable to be pushed to the edge while these giant consortiums take over almost all of the market.
But I'm sure this will all be good for us consumers in the end!
