I know this does not go directly to your point, but when describing elites I think all three GAs named the various medallion levels to then be followed by Zonoe 1. But admittedly I was not listening close to that nor did I see what actually happened because I boarded with FC/BE.
I think distinguishing between the levels is especially important on flights with many elites. I always think of an MD88 I was on MSP-ATL a few years ago where there were 20-somthing DMs and nearly 90 on the UG list.
With the overall boarding policy change, I agree it's a good thing. However, if GA's do not consistently enforce it (
my experience the other night comes to mind), it wil not be effective.
