G-BNLL has already had a heavy check this year, so BA may be reluctant to scrap her so soon. However, despite a D check costing millions, it will probably still be cheaper to send one of the 744s earmarked for retirement to CWL for a D check and keep it longer, than to fix BNLL. That damage looks pretty bad from the photos.
