This is a great point- when I have mentioned this to LH management they suggest the PartnerPlus program which is not even worth the time to participate in.

I think IB may have a very good chance at taking LH business if they just up their consistency- also with the AA connections at MAD there are a lot of good options now on a carrier I formerly avoided. And Vueling is a very tough competitor for Germanwings in my opinion.
