Whether that would be ongoing or just a short term thing - who knows.. ?

Thanks for the link. I'll just have to redistribute some more items to either the checked baggage or my messenger bag. I can't take the chance that a 1kg overage would be allowed as I keep some clothing in my carryon in case my checked bag fails to arrive with my flight.
