It's my understanding from reading this thread that you can still WL a saver award N/S, if and only if you are following these items...
1) New route must be United Metal and match origin and destination
In other words FRA-VIE-ORD can waitlist for FRA-ORD on UA
2) Must hold existing Saver PNR
Is my understanding correct?
