Are you referring to the regional partners? I don't think they're technically subsidiaries as UA doesn't have an ownership interest in them. If they're cutting that many flight attendants from regionals surely the next announcement will be regional route cuts? Have any info on those? Seems like a strange time to cut routes when the void created by US leaving Star Alliance needs to be filled.
Subsidiary United FAs are the FAs who are currently working under the sUA work rules, pay contract etc. They work on united metal only and 739ERs in the 8xx tail # range. Subsidiary Continental FAs are the FAs who are currently working under the sCO work rules, pay contract etc. We work on Continental metal and 739/739ERs in the 401 - 478 tail # range. And yes I've heard of sUA FAs getting furloughed and the sCO side is hiring for inflight.
