The Desert Botanical Gardens on the Galvin Parkway in south Scottsdale will start having some very photogenic cactus blooms early in the morning next month.

The McDowell Sonoran Preserve Gateway Trailhead is just a couple of miles east of your hotel, and it is also becoming very lovely for a hike, especially the loop trail, this time of year. Not many of the cactus in the McDowells will be blooming, however.

Horses & Horsepower is at the Westworld facility on November 2. Ferraris, Maseratis, polo players, and their doxies combine in a heady mixture of conspicuous affluence and horse poo less than two miles southeast of your hotel. http://thepoloparty.com/site
