There is no special "way to see this". But BA can't show you award availability if there is no award availability.
It is of course far too late to find an award for early next year, and QR is not generous with awards in any case. It sometimes releases seats for Mondays or Tuesdays and nothing else. As a test you can look for DOH-ORD, July 7, one way, business. I was looking at that a few minutes ago and there is QR availability.
