Upcoming trip this week to PVG via LAX. As far as I can tell, we won't be able to OLCI, but would like to access the CX lounge to hang out a few hours before the scheduled departure time of 9:45 pm. AA.com says ticket counter hours are 3:00pm to 5:30pm for ORD flight only and 6:45pm to 9:15pm for LAX only. We won't have bags to check, so the question is: would we be able to get BP at the counter during the ORD check-in times?

Other threads on FT only address the question of checking bags during specified times and leave open the possibility of picking up BP early. Anyone with recent experience?
