In other words, if it were me, my main goal would be to get into premium economy or better.
PE in AirFrance will also be considerably more expensive than Economy Plus on Delta.
If you are worried about legroom Skymiles Gold will get a discount on seat plus but it's not available on the 343. You could see if you could get the half seats which have copious amounts of legroom.
