Only flights
departing UK airspace need to have liquids checked so closely. Due to quantum mechanics (or is it because of the mainly odd-numbered flights?), aircraft coming into the UK from mainland EU are subject to a lower level of "security"
BTW, just passed through screening at NUE. Did I need to get my liquids bag out? Nope. The bag itself is definitely larger than 1 litre too.... Do they care? Do I care?
EDIT: now just passed through security screening at FRA. They didn't care about the liquids bag either. It wasn't closed, and the contents don't really fit.
