compensation for defectous car
I rented a car in Italy and was give a ford focus SW with 95k mileage (in km)
Never had such an old and bad condition car with hertz.
3 days latter on a busy highway the car started to ring with warming message about defective engine. We stop and called hertz assistance. After 30 min to reach them they asked us to stay where we were and sent a tow truck
Was very hot that day. We lost more than 6hours to get a replacement car we had to pay a 180€ taxi bill to get to the nearest hertz shop for the new car. This bill could not be directly refund to us at the counter we need to write to customer service for that.
All and all I had a very bad experience this time with hertz and feel like they should refund me the price of this rental for all the inconvenience and for first giving me such an old and outdated car
Anyone had an experience for such refunds
