I've stayed @ Novotel Auckland Airport about half a dozen times and it's a really good property. Literally a 30 second walk to the International Terminal and plently of ramps so you can walk to/from the terminal with a luggage trolley.
They are very good at recognising status and I've often received complimentary upgrades and/or a gift. The restaurant is also very good and the rooms are top draw, everything is nice and new as the property is only a year old.

nice hotel. modern and new, three years old. rooms are nice however the frosted glass between the room and shower room may not suit all..!
there is really no difference between standard and deluxe rooms except fot a coffee maker. mist rooms have decent views towards some part of the apron.
in relation to status recognition, I have stayed dozens of times and received squat all everytime. in fact on numerous occasions I have had to claim missing stays even though I have about pusshed my card up their nose..!!
