My first 'op up' and a good one to welcome me to Gold. Based on previous topics, here for me is a good reason to keep on flying EK as a Gold who will never reach platinum (100-120k).

The unusual bit:
I couldn't OLCI for my flight......but surely if this was related they would have upgraded me at check in? One other gold was also upgraded to first too, although he got a window seat 😁. I don't think it's a Gold heavy route, I hope not because I travel it regularly (PVG-LHR). If I get the odd op-up I'm happy to stay with emirates. Otherwise direct with BA/VA maybe the answer.
