Part venting and part wanting a reality check:

Just flew on B6 for the first time, JFK-SFO, and didn't really enjoy it. (I would have flown this on Delta, but someone else was paying and insisted on it - so I went in with an open mind.)

Browsing the forum, it seems like JetBlue is great if you have no chance of elite status elsewhere and, overall, you're guaranteed a TV compared to the mixed fleets on other airlines.

On this flight, both myself and my +1 had broken TVs. At the point that the FAs offered the buy-up to Even More Space, we tried to signal it to any of the FAs but three ignored us and eventually turned off the call button while walking by (back turned).

Finally, during the beverage service, one of them told us they already knew about the problem before we even boarded, had written it up, and there was nothing they could do. Then stared at me. No offer to do anything but comp a drink or give a vague "voucher". This is after they had been moving folks around in the cabin, so when I pointed out that they could move us, they only had middle seats left.

It made an impression that they did nothing to remedy a problem they knew about until it was too late to do anything, and then had a noticeably surly demeanor in discussing it.

Overall, the whole experience seemed like nothing better than "acceptable". Not at all special. It reminded me of flying on the new United, or Southwest-with-a-TV, and nothing about it was better than Delta would have been.

What am I missing? Is this a one-off? Why do people like this airline so much?
