As for VX, if you're just comparing FF programs UA's is better on balance. But if you're going by in flight experience or UA's contempt for "low roller" elites, VX wins by a country mile. Just sad their network is so limited. But I'm not comparing, I am just going where I'm wanted.
I'm only saying that if we're complaining about the promo not being MR-friendly, going to VX makes no sense -- VX's entire program is unfriendly for runners.

Agreed. And since I'm younger/older than others who have qualified, I'm going to sue for age discrimination, too!
