we are going to visit Colorado this summer and need some help with itinerary.
As of now we figured out half of it:
Day 1. Arrival to Denver, Colorado springs, pikes peak
Day 2. Canon City, train ride, bridge hike, hotel in Alamosa
Day 3. Alamosa Sand Dunes, waterfalls, Pagosa Springs resort
Day 4. Mesa Verde, Moab Utah
Day 5 Moab, arches
Day 6 ??
Day 7 ??
Day 8 ??
Day 9 ?? hotel in Denver
Day 10- Denver, departure late afternoon

as you can see we are trying to make a circle, starting and returning to Denver. I cannot make up my mind about where to stay day6- day8. I would like to stay in the same hotel and have a base from where we can take short trips. Vail, Fresco, Glenwood Springs, Boulder??? we like to do different activities, hiking, art, museums, nature, boating, wineries.

Any suggestions?
