How does UA expect to compete with 2-4-2 Business Class configurations for 777s?

Can anyone tell me how UA thinks that a configuration of 2-4-2 on a 777 can be considered Business Class. They tried to switch me off of ANA from BKK - NRT

when Dreamliner flight was cancelled to SEA and put me on a UA flight out of BKK with this configuration.

The configuration is 2-3-2 on my 777 flight NRT-SEA which I still don't think much of but it is a lot better then 2-4-2.

How does UA expect to compete with these kind of configurations.

I originally booked ANA Dreamliner because of staggered seating and lets face it far superior service.

Looks like if the Dreamliner stays out of service I will have to switch my business to DL with a far superior cabin of staggered seating.

How does UA expect to compete???

By the way all my Flights were UA code Share Flights
