I just flew to Europe on USAirways and I have to say that their current reputation is not completely accurate.
In fact I would say the flew crews I have on all flights are just as good (if not better) than I've experienced on Delta....
I generally have never had a problem with the US flight crews, it has always been the gate crews unwillingness to even talk to a passenger, let alone help them with a problem, or if they will engage you, it is rare they will do it without massive amounts of attitude.
