The FAQ says they are looking to finalize the merger in the 3Q of 2013. Do people think that's when the switch between alliances will be? I have a flight on UA in early September that I want to credit to US, and I need it to re-qualify for gold this year. What are people's thoughts on still being able to earn credit on UA in September?
