My first visit to Japan in October 2007 was as above. Great rate, and easy to refer to the old peseta: JPY 1 = ESP 1

And on my second visit in October 2011 it was like that, which meant that prices (in the country where they have mostly remained the same for 20 years+) had gone up 60% for me!
The current situation is welcome as a tourist, but I'll be in Japan on business trying to export goods, so not that happy about it...
