we flew from bcn in feb to catch a UA tatl at one of the swiss airports. we left the main part of the terminal and the star alliance club and started to our gate. we didn not notice bus stop signs. we had been walking a long way when we came upon a sign and arrow. gate XXXYY 10 more minutes walk. only took about 8 min, but from lounge to gate was almost as long as lhr or fra, and i always thought of bcn as a small airport.
bcn is a major sports and convention town. my guess is if one gets a dump from either, that place is a zoo. 600 hotels in the town.
