Most people have Ipads, Ipods, tablets, etc that contain a wealth of entertainment that is relevant to their choices and needs. US made the decision to forgo the marginal ticket for the long-term savings on not installing / maintaining a system.

Its a pretty simple choice they made. If you want entertainment bring your own.
