Although I see why some people might do this, I feel as if it is a bit petty. In my opinion you should date someone to get to know them and find out if you are compatible. Part of the process of getting to know someone is seeing how they handle money. You don't need to ask someone their credit score to see if they spend way beyond their means, live paycheck to paycheck, and are falling behind on their bills. Asking someone their credit score on the first date just shows how times are changing. People want an instant numerical score for something so they can easily evaluate it.
