It will definitely fit, but make sure you board early. Those bins tend to fill up quickly. I've been on several E175s where I had to "help" FC Diamonds/Plats put their bag in properly with wheels out (versus sideways) to free up space for others in FC.
I've been able to fit my bag on the CRJ900 as well, but I usually just pink valet tag it to avoid taking up an entire bin and the dirty looks that ensue.
