CVS success on VRs
Stopped by CVS tonight in a fairly upscale TX suburb. Saw the VRs, regular Vanilla, and Amex Gift cards.
Went up to cash register with a VR and $5 worth of aspirin. Asked to put $500 on VR, cashier didn't blink an eye, paid for it with a CC (5% back at drugstores), and she even knew enough to show me the card was active on the receipt. So, at least some CVS's seem to be a good way to meet spend.
