But it's high time merchants' refusals to honor published bonus offers (whether a poorly designed offer blows up in their face, or due to incompetence or just plain dishonesty) got litigated.
As for the airlines, they're displaying the same two-faced behavior they show when promoting codeshares or regional affiliates. Happy to splash their brand on everything until something goes wrong, then they claim they have nothing to do with it.
