HA canceled both last night's (10/28) and today's flights between HNL-JFK. The usual rebooking fee waivers are in place for affected passengers.
Assuming the storm clears out, HA intends on operating tomorrow's flight. In addition to the regular HA50/51, they are also adding an additional section Tuesday afternoon to clear the backlog of passengers. Judging from the flight schedule and the aforementioned stop at LAX, looks like they're taking the 767 to JFK for the extra section:

A: HA1050 will depart Tuesday (weather permitting) at 5:05 p.m. It will stop briefly in Los Angeles and arrive in New York at JFK International Airport at 11:00 a.m.
HA1051 will depart Wednesday (weather permitting) at 1:00 p.m. It will stop briefly in Los Angeles and arrive in Honolulu at 7:30 p.m.
