While I do think that the entire EC section on the A319/A320 series provides a noticeable increase in space, I would encourage you to look at row 4 if it is available. The separator between F and Y has no impact on foot room (your feet can go beneath the seats in row 3), and the spacing between rows 3 and 4 is very wide.
