The 333/332 BE seats aren't what I would call cradle, but angled lie-flat, and my wife and I both think they are hideous. She was flying to AMS in August and actually elected to connect through LHR rather than flying direct to AMS--and she was totally happy that she did.
3A on a 764 to LHR versus the hideous 333 angle jobs is the difference between a good nights sleep and not sleeping much at all--well worth having to make the connection in her book (and mine).
Also, the 76Gs (the ex-Gulf babies)--at least in BE--have in-seat IFEs (not overheads). We were on one from MAN to ATL on 25 Sept. At least I'm pretty sure it was a 76G--five rows of BE and no air vents, and a general look of dilapidation.
