Just as some background information:
I always tend to be quite relaxed with all the usual warnings "oh that's a bad area"... in this case: It is. I've stayed there this week and always took a taxi to leave this area safely. At night, there are masses of prostitutes waiting for their customers...
The hotel itself is okay but really nothing to write home about. For 4 EUR and if you are on a budget, it's of course a no brainer.
