Broadly, I support the changes but the spin in the FAQs, especially for 50k, is ridiculous
For the 2013 program, members earning 50,000 Status Miles or 50 Status Flight Segments (now known as Altitude Elite 50K) will be entitled to the benefits that they’ve come to enjoy with 2012 Elite status. On top of this, they will be rewarded with:
Improved upgrade priority
Yeah, over 35k and decreased priority since 75k will be above them
Additional eUpgrade Credits
For which there will now be a higher redemption rate on longer flights (so a wash)
