This beauty awaited us on the ramp last week, and actually flew us safely from point A to point B:
Yes, those appear to be three strips of tape near the nose cone, almost like you'd use to butterfly a wound. It isn't pictured, but all that sanding of paint above and below the cockpit continued on the other side of the fuselage and back behind the door as well. My guess is they did some sort of an inspection on the joints, and then didn't bother re-painting it as it has the full
