This morning was the first time I've flown out since the precheck line came to UA. At the south premier line (closest to T2), the lane is set up on the left and goes straight through to the metal detector. The next lane on the right goes to the NOS, which was open at 7:30 a.m. (It's been closed most of the time I've flown mornings this year.) Fortunately, there was another line after the checker that went to a metal detector; I couldn't see it until I was almost at the check stand. Most of the people in the premier line took the NOS line though, and no one opted out while I was there.
Isn't there still a safe checkpoint in T2 that you can use for UA gates (AA T3 too for that matter) as well as the T2 carriers like AC and DL?
