My SM result seems to now support what mromero07 has been saying. If I am reading the below correctly then this means you're ok if you applied over 12 months ago. Anybody else have a data point?

If your last application does not fall under the 12 months period then you are certainly eligible for the Welcome Bonus offer on the Card.

I am considering applying for a Business Platinum card. I noticed that the application says "Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have had this product or any other Business Gold or Green Card account within the last 12 months."
I currently have an Amex Business Gold account that is open. I applied over 12 months ago. Am I eligible for the signup bonus for the Amex Business Platinum if I get approved for that card?
