Ok United allows up 5.5 lbs checked or carry on but they charge $200 for international passengers who check it in, I thought there would be a waiver since i am flying business class and 1k member but i found out there is not, I will try to call the 1k desk and see if they will waive but who knows. It is not clear if they charge that fee if you carryon but i am going to try that next time.
