Both my wife and I are registered for all 3 promos, and we already have 3 real stays planned, but I don't know how to justify this to my dear parents who I and my children are staying with: "Mom and Dad, I will stay at an airport hotel tonight, 25 miles from your house, while the kids are with you and my wife is back home" - this may meet some resistance
The promo T&C talks about "nights", not sure how they define it but it is conceivable that checking in at 1pm and checking out at 3pm may be considered a "day" stay and disqualified.
But I see nothing in the T&C that would preclude me from staying concurrently at two brands and qualifying for both promos.
As to being back to square one with both positive and negative answers... well, I figure it doesn't hurt to ask. Yes, I am uncomfortable calling CC about this but I may actually ask on their Facebook page.

You really don't have to check out at 3pm. Check in at 1pm, go to the room, relax for a few minutes on the bed and use the restroom and leave. The next day, you can just call them to say you have checked out. Hell, there is no need to even call, as I've just left in the morning without informing anyone. Housekeeping will come around 11 and see you've already left anyway.
Basically, there is no reason to inform them at 3pm that you're checking out.
