I'm sure there will be lots of friendly folks around to help, however, with all I've read on these and other forums I want to be as informed as possible. Besides, with my relatively short connection time I don't want to have to use too much of that as lost time. Plus I'm a little self conscious about not speaking a word of French; typically I'd at least like to pretend to attempt to converse in the local languages of the places I travel. With me only connecting through CDG I haven't really had the motivation to pick up French.
