Yesterday I received an email receipt from Hertz for a one day rental at TYS. Problem is that I did not rent a car that day. I did have a reservation but someone picked me up at AP instead. So, I called location and told them, that I did not pick up the car.
They didn't understand what I was telling them at first and thought I was asking when the credit card hold would be removed. I said that isn't why I am calling and I explained it again. Agent said that it is impossible because they check everyone's I.D. I then asked to speak with manager and I was informed that she was out of town and I would have to call back next week. So we will see how this plays out.
Anybody have a phantom rental before?
