There are bulletin boards which require you to give your home telephone number, and actually call you, before you are allowed to post. (Exception: If a known poster can vouch for your identity.)

Yeah, dammit. I realized that I had slipped in the hyphen about two seconds after I posted. I was just too lazy to go back and correct it. Still, it wasn't my own nick I was screwing up so I guess it wasn't THAT bad!
