My spouse was thinking the same thing. What are the queues like during the day?
They can be long on the weekend...weekdays can still be okay.

1. I'm thinking that taking The Tube (vice the Express) would be a better bet, when analyzing price and flexibility. Any recommendations on where to get off and start our on-foot journey?
The Tube is definitely your cheapest option - if you PM me your email address, I can send you a list of suggestions that I've sent to friends and family in the past.

2. I'm thiking it'd be wise to get an Oyster Card. Do I need to get one for my spouse, or can we share?
You would each need an Oyster Card. Given the short duration of your stay and going between central London (zone 1) and LHR (zone 6) each day, I would just get a Zone 1-6 Travelcard.

3. What are the hit shows to see at the moment?
Since you'll only be there a short time, I suggest wandering over several hours at a show.

I have friends who saw Singin' in the Rain this past weekend and really enjoyed it.
