Flight cancelled - Any compensation?
I am posting a question for a friend.
My friend should have flown on BA906 from LHR to FRA which was scheduled to take off at 8:20am and 9:45am. (All times are BST, same below.) However, he was notified at the airport that the flight had been cancelled due to mechanical issues. He was offered another flight BA904 which was scheduled to take off at 10:50am and 12:16pm. The latter flight was eventually further delayed by more than an hour again. (To be precise, the flight took off at 11:54am and arrive at 1:20pm.)
Can he ask for a compensation from BA? If so, how much and how to claim?
