As Cathay Boy said, it's pretty much a status which is all prestige but no real benefits.
Well, company rules are fly economy regionally but business long haul, so for those who do at least 3 long hauls a year, they do get some benefit from PPS when they travel regionally or when they travel on holiday. So there are some benefits.
