I've been looking at chase.com/united and found the "awards" card OP was talking about. Although, it has a "United Presidential Plus" card tab, no mention of the new club card.
Just from reading the card descriptions, it looks like the "award" card is going to be a basic 1pt/$1 card without any of the additional benefits the explorer has. I'm sure the AF will be cut as well.
I googled Presidential Plus MasterCard and the first link listed was to a miles card page. I clicked on one of the United card links and got to the page I posted.
