There aren't any new "super hot" credit card bonus deals that the bloggers can 'excite' people about, so yes at times like this it shows who adds Real value and who doesn't.
Also while I enjoy reading many of the travel blogs, it's rare that they'll find out about a deal first. I usually see it on FT the day (or evening) before, then it hits the blogs. Which is OK, they include their own perspective of the deals, but it kind of makes them look like copycats. So shout to a rare few bloggers who don't do this (as often) as most bloggers.
