Is it possible to use my Star Alliance Gold status from US Airways while also building up my UA/CO frequent flier status? Or am I going to have to start from scratch with OnePass. Reason I'm asking is because I haven't heard of many free upgrades going to *Gold over OnePass elites.
When you fly on UA/CO, you can use your US number for *G benefits and a UA number for collecting the miles. A call to reservations can make that happen (or they can do it at the airport too).
