You might get away with Canary Islands..... or Agadir / Essouria..... but my choice, providing there is no sabre rattling in the straits, would be Oman..... Interesting, amusing people, quality, and no hassle... or Abu Dhabi.
I enjoyed Dubai 20 years ago but it is over-blown for me now..... tho' I have never been ill, which is a bonus....
I suppose Florida keys would be an option.......
