Any suggestions for cheaper routes from LHR to SFO?
I need to be in SFO in Feb, either from 6th-12th or 4th-10th (flexible over dates). CW BA flights are coming out at >£3k. Now, this would not normally be a problem but in times of austerity and with 9 of us going (from various airports), I need to keep my business class ticket closer to £2k...

I have looked at routing through US cities (connecting to AA) but no joy... It looks like United may be my only choice but I would prefer to go with One World to get TPs, Avios etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd rather not fly LHR-CDG-LHR-SFO etc. - TPs don't mean that much to me!
