I think I am getting one. Even if that means the lousy gift card situation (of no points for hotel stay due to handling issue or stuff like that) I can still find a good use for it.
my last 4 stays where my GC was sued to pay part of my total with the remainder going to and the stay closing to my VISA not only got me the full amount of pts but my Mega B credit as well
